To resolve the issue, you can try closing the program through the Task Manager. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager, locate the System Mechanic process, right-click on it, and choose "End task" or "End process". Alternatively, you can try restarting your computer to see if that resolves the issue.
Why do they need to know my password to my e-mail account? I've downloaded System Mechanic for which I have paid and now I can't get the new release. Can you help?

If they want to know the password for your email account, you will need to contact them and ask for clarification. You can get in touch with IOLO Technologies using 877.239.4656 or 626.320.1800 phone numbers. From what it seems, they want to know the password of your IOLO account in order to check if you're a System Mechanic user. If you're using the same password on your email and IOLO account, I suggest you change it for one of them.
In order get the new System Mechanic release, navigate to the official web page, press the Click here link, save the file to your computer, launch it and follow the on-screen instructions.
When I'm trying to use the application, I receive a "DVPAPI is required for Iolo-Antivirus to operate properly" message. What can I do?

In order to fix the missing file issue, I suggest you to reinstall the application. To obtain an official link to download the application, you can visit Software Informer review page of the product. Press the green Download button, save the file to your computer and install it using the serial key received when you purchased the software. If this doesn't help, try to get in touch with iolo Customer Care.
